Chris Packham

Chris Packham is one of the UK’s best-known wildlife presenters, naturalists and conservationists. He has spent decades sharing his passion for the natural world, from presenting ‘The Really Wild Show’ early in his career to becoming a long-standing presenter of the BBC’s Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch programmes. Chris has also been a prominent advocate for British wildlife and the protection of nature throughout his career.

Chris first became involved with Eva and Emily during their original three-year harvest mouse project, joining them to help with the soft release of their harvest mice into a new conservation site in Devon. Their remarkable project was later featured on Springwatch. Having seen first-hand what young people can achieve when given the opportunity to take part in practical conservation, Chris is now supporting and endorsing Wild Pets as the project grows to involve more young people in wildlife recovery. Chris is helping us champion a new generation of young conservationists. He said to our co-founders - “It’s so inspirational when young people think of an idea and then make it happen. It’s so important. And what I like about young people doing things is that you think clearly, speak clearly and you get things done.”
